About this Course

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship ‘Learn-to-Skate’ program. Conducted in a fun, friendly environment focusing on continuous movement, the CanSkate program showcases a comprehensive series of balance, control and agility skills, using a nationally-tested and proven curriculum and instructed by professionally trained and certified coaches. CanSkate supports skater success in developing strong basic skills on the ice, and is the foundation for all ice sports including figure skating, hockey, speed skating and ringette. Skaters are grouped by age and skill, beginning in Stage 1 progressing to Stage 6. Awards and incentives are earned as skater’s progress. Ages 4-12 years old (Skaters must be 4 years old as of September 1, 2021). No Class November 11th All skaters must purchase Skate Canada membership, $44.00 for Sept 1, 2021 - Aug 31, 2022.
